For Jason & Ginger's second album, they returned to their roots: powerful, expressive female vocals from Ginger Curry backed by acoustic finger style guitar from Jason Fickel covering blues classics!

Not long after their semi-finalist performance at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, Jason & Ginger were asked to put together a program of classic blues and storytelling called “A Salute to the Women of the Blues.” They jumped at the opportunity. After playing the songs and sharing stories at libraries, coffeehouses, bars, and on live radio shows, they decided to record eight of their favorites. The songs, ranging in time from 1918’s title track to 1987’s “Go Back to Your Used to Be,” were recorded at Rainstone Studios in Bloomington, IN, and mixed by Grammy®-nominated audio engineer Marcos Suiero Bal.
